20-21 Nov (ADEL): Three events for Feast Festival
Everything has been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to mention this until now: I am participating in three events at Feast Festival, Adelaide’s queer arts and cultural festival. This Saturday, I am involved in two events for the festival’s literary program. But the night before that, I will be giving a reading at a dinner for International Transgender Day of Remembrance.
Here are the details from the program:
International Transgender Day of Remembrance Community Dinner
The Transgender Day of Remembrance was set aside to memorialise those who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. Bfriend and the Carousel Club commemorate the trans folk who blazed a trail and celebrate our wonderful Adelaide trans community… never forgetting that we are part of a global movement. A short ceremony will be followed by dinner (buy your own) and a reading by author Tom Cho from his new book ‘Look Who’s Morphing’. All trans folk, their friends, supporters and families welcome. Bring a rose and/or a candle.
